I.M.C.A. Old Timers was formed to promote and preserve I.M.C.A. (International Motor Contest Association) history, including the preservation and excellent restoration of former I.M.C.A. race cars; to maintain records and documents of I.M.C.A. history; recognition of former drivers, owners, mechanics and others involved in I.M.C.A. history; and provide an opportunity for the social and technical interchange of members interested in auto racing history.

DAKOTA COUNTY FAIR PRESERVATION PROJECT

JUNE 2016

Great progress has been made with this project. With the donations of materials and time by many people and area businesses the old gas station is starting to look good. This building is the anchor of the I.M.C.A. exhibit at the Dakota County Fair and compliments our exhibit. It is exciting to see the progress that has been made and will help highlight our exhibit in August at the fair.

MAY 2016

We had our first meeting today to list the work that the IMCAOld Timers intends to do this year regarding the "Old Gas Station".
We will start the actual work on the roof, fascia, and painting next week, May 7, 2016.
We had 6 people show up today for the planning session, however, we need to have more of you show up at 8:00 A.M. next Saturday to help with the work. Even if you can not stay a long time we need your hands and help with this project.
The Project is located at the Dakota County Fair Grounds which is located in Farmington, Minnesota.
If you are able please give a hand.  Many hands make light work.
The Fair Board, the Ag. Board and the Dakota City project all are very excited to have our club be part of their organizations.  Please donate you time next Saturday to help the Club.
Regards, Mike Stein  Secretary IMCA Old Timers
